Graveyards of Portsmouth

Kingston Cemetery

Nearly all burials for St Mary Portsea after 1856 took place in Kingston Cemetery. A burial may have been entered in both the parish register and the cemetery register. This cemetery is still in use. Our ancestors William Scott (and his second wife Sarah) and Sarah (Good) Slape are buried in this cemetery.

Mile End

This cemetery was paved over when the M275 motorway was constructed in the 1960's. Some of our ancestors in the Good line were buried here. It was a cemetery used by St. Mary's church.

Highland Road Cemetery

Nearly all burials for St Thomas Portsmouth after 1854 took place in Highland Road Cemetery.

Milton Cemetery
