The photograph is taken from highway 121 on the descent from Agira. The pines in the cemetery highlight the center of the photograph, on the crest of Montecampelli. The white slash at the bottom right of the pines is the entrance gate structure of the cemetery. This photograph gives a typical view of this very hilly terrain through which the Canadian Army advanced towards Catania.
